
After graduating from university, Mr. Shimada began his career at MUFG Bank, where he was engaged in corporate banking and relationship management. He subsequently joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, serving at the Embassy of Japan in Israel and later in the First Middle East Division of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, with a particular focus on Israel and regional affairs. During his posting in Israel, he was involved in research and analysis of political and regional developments, particularly the Israeli-Palestinian issue, as well as engagement with Israeli government officials and other key stakeholders. Through these roles, he developed extensive knowledge of Israeli politics, society, history, and the broader Middle East. He later joined M&A Capital Partners, where he was engaged in M&A advisory services, before joining Chartered Group. His professional background spans corporate banking, diplomacy, international affairs, and M&A advisory. Mr. Shimada is fluent in Japanese and English and has proficiency in Hebrew.
